I bought the laptop 3 months ago.

The only change I made was to download a chess game from Microsoft.

Other than that, I did not brand whatever other change.

Simply, Windows 10 makes very frequent, automated, forced update.

So, to answer your question, I only made i change, merely Microsoft has made many, many changes on my laptop.

So, when I uninstall and reinstall the network adapter driver, I do not need internet connection?

In response to your query, when you uninstall the network adapter driver and restart the figurer, Windows will automatically wait for stored drivers from your organization and go it installed fifty-fifty if there is no network connectivity.

I uninstalled the network adapter driver, and reinstalled it.

It did not fix the original problem. My laptop nevertheless cannot connect to WiFi.
